Pink Patsy Adventures is currently in development as an animated cartoon inspired by the colourful charm of the Pink Patsy books.
Set in the English countryside, the world of Pink Patsy follows a cheerful and creative character who explores a landscape filled with marvellous oak trees, talking daisies and joyful adventures. Through vibrant colours and lovable characters, the series creates a place of wonder that both children and adults can enjoy.
At its heart, Pink Patsy gently explores the experience of dyslexia, helping people understand that learning differently can be a strength. The writer, Wendy Gallagher, is dyslexic herself and brings her own experiences into the stories.
The project is a special creative collaboration between mother and daughter. Wendy’s mum, Margaret Townsend, now 86 and still undiagnosed but believed to be dyslexic, continues to paint with passion and imagination. Together they have already created ten books, lovingly written and illustrated as a team.
The animation is now being developed together with King Bee Animation at Elstree Studios, helping to bring the colourful world of Pink Patsy from page to screen.
To help us complete the animation and share Pink Patsy’s colourful world with children and adults everywhere, you can support the project using the GoFundMe link below.
